Great to grow
By working with both ORMIT and BNP Paribas Fortis, I get double the amount of learning possibilities! It feels like a playground of opportunities. Creating my own impact, trying many new things and experiencing different phases of a project: from scope, to design, to development.
Next to learning on the job, I learn about personal development at ORMIT by having multiple coaching sessions with my personal coach and trainings that focus on soft skills
Great to share
You never walk alone. When I need to turn to someone else for feedback or insight on a specific business case, I just contact the other Chapter Lead trainees. As we evolve in similar environments, we’re well placed to understand one’s situations.
Great to change
Some people think that working at a bank is no fun. Well, think again! Yes, BNP Paribas Fortis is a big company with sometimes-complicated processes and therefore it can be a challenge to introduce new ideas. But is this a bad thing? For me, it doesn’t have to be.
Big means a lot of opportunities: different teams, departments and people with different backgrounds. Having a variety of responsibilities and working on diverse challenges enriches me, both on the job as in my personal life.
On top of that, complexity leads to a need for simplification, which means change. Something BNP Paribas Fortis is aware of and therefore actively screens for drivers of change, people with new ideas and insights. Do you have an idea? Pitch it! There is always room for suggestions and innovation. If you are ready to come out of your comfort zone, then jump aboard! The Chapter Lead program can really be a unique learning experience.
Great for people
Slowly but surely, BNP Paribas Fortis aims to reorient its mindset from being purely focused on delivery to becoming more people oriented. As future people managers in IT, Chapter Lead trainees contribute to that change. We are encouraged to lead our own initiatives and to help the bank grow in a different direction. Something I can only be thankful for.
